Welcome

The business world has seen almost unprecedented changes over the last twelve to fifteen months.  Oil was at record prices, the economy was – apparently – booming and the All Ordinaries index was at 6,000.

A great deal has changed since then.  The oil price has halved, and economies took a battering. In recent months there have been signs of a recovery.  The All Ordinaries has risen to 4,700 and everywhere there are signs of “green shoots”.  Perhaps the most important factor of all is that business confidence is on the rise. Is it a false dawn? Time will tell. As always – irrespective of economic conditions - sound business and financial management will ensure that your business is best positioned for whatever circumstances it has to deal with.

We are taking the opportunity in this newsletter to introduce you to two of our less well known Divisions - our International Business and Finance & Lending Divisions. Many people still think of McLean Delmo as accountants. We are far more than that. We are a dynamic professional services organisation, offering advice to all types of business and individuals. Our team consists of progressive accountants, financial planners, auditors, finance and tax specialists as well as many other specialists. Our focus is to help create, maximise and protect wealth for all our clients be they small, medium or large. The two Divisions we highlight in this newsletter, together with all our other Divisions, are an integral part of our business. Together with all our other Divisions they help us to achieve our goal of being much more than just accountants.
